What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is an activity anyone can practice, anywhere, and at any time to gain some peace of mind. I have used mindfulness, and I can honestly say it has been one of the best things that I have done to help me overcome the many challenges of my life.
How is Mindfulness practiced?
There are a variety of ways you can practice mindfulness. There’s mindfulness walking, mindfulness breathing, mindfulness eating, and mindfulness journaling. Even creative activities such as slow stitching, painting, and gardening can provide the means to practice mindfulness.
What is Mindfulness journaling?
Just like other mindfulness activities mentioned above, mindfulness journaling is the process of journaling with your entire mind focused on the activity itself.
It requires taking an active role in keeping your mind on the task at hand and keeping it from drifting off into different tangents. If it does, which it probably will, you gently redirect your mind back to the present moment and continue journaling.
Mindfulness journaling has meditative qualities, and it is easy enough for a beginner to practice.
What is the importance of mindfulness journaling in your personal development?
Mindfulness journaling can help you with your personal growth in the following seven ways:
1. It allows you to jot down your experiences thoughtfully.
2. It helps you to find clarity within the chaos of your mind.
3. It helps you to cultivate peace of mind.
4. It gives you something practical to reflect on later to make sense of your world and to see how you can improve yourself.
5. It can help you to improve with self-expression.
6. It helps with self-reflection.
7. It can help you relax.
Do you practice Mindfulness? If so, how? If not, would you consider trying it to see if it might help you find some peace of mind?
Until next time,
Keep Creating!
